A standardised test can only ever represent a small part of the assault possibilities to a security glass.
After all, not every assault attempt will be conducted with an axe! Although the axe assault represents a brutal attack and is therefore very suitable for the test, burglaries often take place using completely different methods.
At SILATEC, the security glass sheets are therefore tested more severely than the standard requires – with car crashes, flame-throwers, explosives and more. This is the only way to receive a realistic view of its resistance characteristics.
